Yin Yoga

You can allow yourself to be guided gently and smoothly, allowing yourself to sink into the stretch completely adapted to your body. In Yin Yoga, the static holding of certain Yin Yoga postures takes centre stage. It is the female way of yoga and has been known as part of hatha yoga for a few thousand years. It is consciously performed without active muscle tension: an exercise practice that is very powerful in its effect, especially for stretching the muscles, fascia, spine, joints and connective tissue. With Yin Yoga, you can discover a yoga practice that relaxes deeply, stretches the fascia and helps you to let go completely.

Hatha Yoga

The essence of hatha yoga - bring balance to your life

The word "Hatha" is made up of the two syllables Ha + tha. In the context of this yoga style, Ha stands for the solar energy and Tha for the lunar energy in humans. The solar energy is associated with the functions of our left hemisphere, the analytical, logical, abstract and linear aspects of our personality, the dynamic and action-orientated parts and tends to be attributed to men. The moon energy represents the intuitive, caring, emotional, letting go and creative aspects and tends to be assigned to the female and therefore to the right hemisphere. Humans are made up of the male and female principles and hatha yoga assumes that these two forms of energy are in disharmony in most people and teaches a whole range of techniques and methods that help us to harmonise the solar and lunar energy, the male and female principles within us. This translates quite pragmatically to the dominant lifestyle of modern man:

Most people are under constant pressure to perform due to biographical events or structural and social factors and therefore find it difficult to 'come down', to let go, to go inwards, to feel themselves - in other words, to carry too much solar energy and too little lunar energy. But there can also be an opposing imbalance, because too much lunar energy and too little solar energy can lead to a lack of drive (lethargy). According to this view, people who tend not to achieve their goals or generally have difficulties in asserting themselves or things have too much moon and too little sun in them. Hatha yoga classes are regularly characterised by a constant interplay of tension and relaxation. The individual asanas (physical exercises) are held a little longer (action = sun) and are followed by a short relaxing part in which the practitioners have the opportunity to feel inside themselves and let go (relaxation = moon). This interplay in yoga practice symbolises the natural rhythm of human life; because when applied to our everyday lives, we see that life and our actions are geared towards action and in return - in order to maintain the natural balance - our actions are followed by relaxation. Yoga practice can serve as an example of how to develop this balance between action (sun) and relaxation or letting go (moon). Hatha yoga also has a very harmonising and activating effect on our autonomic nervous system. From a purely physiological point of view, the principle of the sun and the moon stands for the two components of the autonomic nervous system, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, which are equally stimulated by this Hatha Yoga practice. The practitioner regains their ability to act dynamically (sun) or to let go (moon). We incorporate the principle of Hatha Yoga into most of our guided classes.

Yoga & Ayurveda workshops

Giving the confused & rigid life a space in which design & development can be found again due to the alignment of the individual primal nature, called Prakriti in Ayurveda. The current state of being (Vikritit) that characterises a person is often permeated by the two of the three basic emotions: Fear & Anger / Rage and is reflected, for example, in the facets of guilt, perfection, exaltation, slander, abuse of power, oppression, seduction or excessiveness. Pronounced preoccupation, repetitive talking about other(s), blame, overthinking, destructive perseverance & endurance, distraction, numbing and addiction are just some of the ways used to avoid facing oneself. The respect for one's own truth is too great, as any disdain for it leads back to constant conditioning. Illnesses are the consequences and, in the case of carelessness and lying to oneself, lead to a self-imposed death. It even seems to be the fear of life itself, which hardly leads to trust, on the trail of basic trust. But this only begins when the decision is made to let go, to truly be with oneself and to face life and death in a process of letting go. Only then is there nothing to do.

The task of the ACADEMY OF WISDOM in general & the workshops is to show ways that lead to the primordial ground of humanly fulfilled being & to explore the gap between words & things.

Individual coaching Yoga & Ayurveda

Yoga & Ayurveda as a complement to conventional medicine is always an enrichment of the latter. Both are based on millennia-old traditions and a wealth of experience. European Yoga & Ayurveda 'therapy' is adapted to the country-specific conditions: Climate, vegetation, structural & country-specific characteristics as well as the thinking, behaviour, diet & movement of each individual. Nothing is more distant than one's own origin & nature in such a process. On the individual basis, we look at what is needed and can be realised in its own time frame in live / online individual sessions. My knowledge from coaching & meditation is incorporated as well as my knowledge of school medicine from years of professional education & counselling experience. I look forward to meeting you.
